Oh how they loved to use gelatin in so many recipes during the 1950's. This is one of the more unique options as it has rice in it as well as fruit, cream and eggs. So it is more if a quick custard enveloping rice and bits of fruit. Topped like a sundae with whipped cream and cherries as the serving suggestion.
Hunt up some lovely copper molds to make this a very elegant looking dessert and to save some vintage kitchenware. The name suggests a heart mold but there are so many shapes, sizes and patterns to choose from!
