Delectable Dessert Puffs ~ Salzburger Nockerln

Delectable Dessert Puffs or Salzburger Nockerln are these lovely little puffs of pastry that are best when served hot with just a little powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.


Cast iron skillets are a huge bonus here but if need be a good heavy baking pan can be substituted with the ingredients being heated up on the stove then poured into the pan. Just make sure to pre heat the pan before pouring in.  This is really a very easy recipe to do with the bare basic ingredients. If you don't want to have to cut the puff a pan for puff cakes is more then acceptable to use pour the mixture into each spot.
Note: this is a tasty puff to use for strawberry shortcake as well!
