Caramel Coffee Cake, vintage tea or desert recipe
The best things in the world are more often or not the most simple. This recipe is a very simple crumb cake. The name is a bit deceiving as it eludes to the color of the cake from it's use of brown sugar not it's flavor. That said the brown sugar does give the cake a deeper flavor then the white does. Paired with a nice hot cup of coffee or tea and this crumb topped cake is the perfect afternoon treat.
