Recipe of the day 1/5/17 ~ Chestnut Stuffing


So here I am, the holidays are over and I have a bag of chestnuts that are just here. Yes we did the traditional roast them in the fire for Christmas and that seemed to be enough for my family.  Too much work for them apparently. So I think this will be pulled out and used to go inside prok chops. I'll be using a gluten free rye bread since it's all we have and it's rock hard because we forgot about, hey it happens to the best of us.  Now I steam chestnuts out of the shell instead of heating in butter. This is no job for those who like easy and mess free. I suggest buying chestnuts processed if your one of these people. It's a job unlike any other and I hate It .. lol
