Minus the sugar now a days these would be called power bites, or bombs or some other fad like name, but our grandmothers knew how to make filling and healthy snacks way before it was a fad. Some where along the line home made goodies such as these got pushed into the background and forgotten and now people all over are re-finding these yummy bites and calling them the bee's knees. This is a very simple no cook recipe that was a lot of fun to make with the kids as even the youngest at age 6 could do it all on her own with a watchful eye. Great math lesson in fractions (yeah that's how we homeschooling mama's roll sometimes) and measuring the kids had a great time. I did have them use the
mini food processor instead of chopping the raisins.
