Recipe of the day 1/3/17 ~ Beef Brisket with Cabbage

Cabbage is a number one veggie in our house.  Great for so many things, filling and cheap. It's a winner all the way around. I have to admit this one was a little plain for me.  I added some garlic, bay leaf, allspice and a little red pepper flake to mine.  It cooked well in a crock pot on low for about 7 hours but the size of your brisket will make the timing need to be adjusted, mine was about 4 and half pounds give or take a few ounces.
