Pasta is known to be an inexpensive meal. It is versatile and yummy. It is also very easy to make. From the box or from scratch your household can enjoy a delicious meal with this gnocchi.
Gnocchi is usually a potato pasta, but is really something a little closer to a dumpling. This recipe is unique for gnocchi, as it forgoes the potatoes and instead replaces them with ricotta cheese. I have often seen gnocchi made with sweet potato but never before have I seen a recipe with no potato at all.
Cooked like pasta in boiling in water and served in traditional pasta sauces such as tomato, pesto or alfredo, I personally just like a little brown butter and garlic. They are a wonderful addition also in soups, stews and even as cold pasta salads. They are very versatile just like all pasta.
