The date reads July 22, 1951. I don't often get to see a date for the recipes I find so I usually get a kick out of that. This was ripped a bit but one can figure out what it says.  I make hash often and we stuffed a pepper the other day with it since we read this. So today as I looked through a cookbook I inherited from my Mother. It was her mother's and in pretty rough condition. As I tried to open it the paper bag cover my mom had put on it split and recipes fell out that I had never seen.  I never met my grandmother as she passed when my mother was quite young but I got excited to see her handwriting along with others of traded recipes.
