Christmas cookies, vintage recipe, fruitcake

It's the first day of  December and it is time to start thinking about Christmas and what we are making, baking and cooking! I will be sharing all sorts of holiday recipes! This one is from a 1950's grange cook book. It's more of a fruitcake meets cookies in a way only done in the 50's. It struck a cord with me because when she was a live my husband's grandmother made a cookie like this and as soon as I saw it I knew the girls and I would make them this year.

Buy them today! Do you ever go into the big fancy Stores and smell all the perfumes and fragrances and then just about pass out from the prices?  I used to, then I realized I could buy comparable scents at a fraction of the cost from Avon. Then I realized they had others that were far, far better then those on the shelves. This was all about a year or two before I started selling Avon by the way.  Here is a list of fragrances that I put together. I spoke to a few people I know and asked them to tell me what my Avon scents would compare to because I seriously couldn't do this on my own and everyone has a slightly different take so I wanted to have a survey so to say about it.  SO take a look at the list and see if any of them just might be what you are looking for! Lipstick samples!!! Ok almost every little girl loved when the Avon lady brought out the adorable little samples of lipstick. "Just my size" .  I still see that glow when my samples come out.
