No one wants their bridal makeup to be off, or just plain horrible. All too often both the bride and her maids are done up beautifully but the time of day and the lighting turn beautiful into something less. Take note of the time of day your wedding is being held and keep these tips in mind!
Morning Weddings are bright with the dawn and will show EVERYTHING.
So it's important to:
- Go more natural- less powder and foundation
- Nothing bold - Keep to warm tones
- Go heavy on the lashes and less on the eye shadows
- Use more natural and soft shades of lipstick
- Keep nails frenched or soft shades
Midday thru early afternoon (3ish) the light is at it's highest points. Lots of shadows and warmth.
So it's important to:
- Have makeup with SPF
- No gloss or sparkle stick to mattes maybe just a touch of shimmer
- Keep foundation light to avoid sweating and melting
- thin eyeliner closed to eyes
- thick eyelashes or false
- calm shades of nail polish
Late Afternoon has that soft perfect light everyone wants!
So it's important to:
- Have bolder eyeliner and shadows keep sparkle and shimmer to a min. due to flash from camera
- Have a bronzer or self tanner so flash doesn't drown her out
- Rich colored lipsticks
- Thick eyelashes
- bolder nail polish or design
- best time for bride who has skin issues to cover
