Chocolate coated Easter egg candy, vintage holiday recipe
The church ladies in our area have been busy! These tasty candies are showing up in our markets and vendor tables. Peanut butter, coconut and buttercream have taken over since these fruity favorites owned the show.
One of the interesting aspects of this recipe is it's use of potato. Usually considered a savory ingredient, the potato is a bland canvas that absorbs flavors brilliantly! Here it is the base of a fudge type candy.
Any chocolate can be used to cost these. Not to mention all the wonderful flavored baking chips out there now that can be used.
