Princess Pie, Fruit filled vintage dessert recipe

I am not a fan of canned fruit but I couldn't resist this one either. Back in the day celebrities did advertising just like now!

While doing a report we found this gem, in of all places, a library book on first wives of the United States!  Hildegardes  was a lounge or club singer who apparently caught the attention of  First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt as her star rose to fame.

This fun and easy recipe uses a homemade crust to accent the fruit topped creamy filling. Yum!
