Building a strong ds sales team

When building a direct sales team there is so much more to it then just signing them up. It's not called building for no reason and just like everything else the more you put into it the more you get back.
Of coarse it all starts with recruiting. Getting folks to sign up under you, making the proper appointments, displaying the opportunity all very important first steps. All need to be done and done well.

Next though is follow up. Call and check up on your recruits. Ask if they have questions, need help are confused at all. Offer to show them how to do things. Give them a chance to see you work, help with first parties, shows or events. The better the base they have the better they will do. The better they do the better you do. It's simple.

How to help your team?  Have a Facebook group just for your downline. On this page let them know they can ask questions, and answer them. You must answer them! Post the deals, steals, incentives and other company specials for both rep and customer.  Giving your sales team options for advertising helps them.  Post tips and sales ideas as well. Get them to share their tips and tricks. Build a family not just a team. If not on Facebook or other social media do this in a weekly or monthly newsletter.

Be available. It's OK to have office hours but let your team know what they are and when they can get a hold of you. More importantly be there during those times. Let them know if your not going to be around say during a meeting or vacation.  Answer questions, commend the good, help fix the mistakes, talk folks through ordering, returns etc. and be there if they just need to vent about your work.

Work with all generations of your team. It is easy to look at your downline's,  downline as their business only. That's not true though. You are making money off of them, they are still part of your team. Helping those reps when your downline cannot helps to build stronger teams under you.

Check up quarterly on everyone. See how their sales are. If they need help. Re-access goals, do this when goals are met as well.  On top of these check ups, send a personal note for Birthdays, anniversaries, babies born and other big moments. Build loyalty and your team will not fail you. Be loyal to your team and do not fail them.
