Pick a peck of Pickled Figs

While digging through the recycling bin I found an old tattered book, the cover and most of the first section of the book are long gone.  It is a collection of recipes from families in the Virginia area it seems. The script is quite old fashioned and some of the type is odd to modern readers. The letter "s" looks somewhat like our modern "f".  If I ever see figs fresh and in good condition I am trying this one out! I have to say I had to adjust the color on this as well as the pages are yellowed and the ink discoloring enough to need some filtering to make it easier to read.  I have found quite a few interesting ones to share and if anyone recognizes them.. well let me know!

Buy them today! Do you ever go into the big fancy Stores and smell all the perfumes and fragrances and then just about pass out from the prices?  I used to, then I realized I could buy comparable scents at a fraction of the cost from Avon. Then I realized they had others that were far, far better then those on the shelves. This was all about a year or two before I started selling Avon by the way.  Here is a list of fragrances that I put together. I spoke to a few people I know and asked them to tell me what my Avon scents would compare to because I seriously couldn't do this on my own and everyone has a slightly different take so I wanted to have a survey so to say about it.  SO take a look at the list and see if any of them just might be what you are looking for!
