Autumnal Decorations

A certain chill graces the air a float with the scent of autumn.  Leaves begin to change color,  pumpkins and apples too change their colors.  The brilliant spectrum from golds to scarlets and every color in between. Like many I become captive to their bewitching powers. Our home mirrors what nature produces.  I have to admit I couldn't wait to decorate our home and small items have snuck their way out.  Pumpkins decorated by my own hand and dried have come out to top the kitchen table.  Bottle stoppers in theme with leaf shaped plates. Now I won't go all out until the beginning of October and then all Hell will break lose most specifically the Halloween things will begin to pop out all over the place as well.  For now little touches of autumn will be made and placed around the house. 

To make your own decorated  pumpkin.

One whole un-marred pumpkin. Make sure there are no soft spots, bruises or scratches in the flesh.  Sharpie Marker.

Clean the pumpkin well. I used many Zentangle patterns to decorate mine. Next is to leave the pumpkin in a dry place. The shell will harden as it dries and the pumpkin will feel lighter just as one does with a gourd. If there is any even tiny bad spots the pumpkin will rot instead of drying.

Buy them today! Do you ever go into the big fancy Stores and smell all the perfumes and fragrances and then just about pass out from the prices?  I used to, then I realized I could buy comparable scents at a fraction of the cost from Avon. Then I realized they had others that were far, far better then those on the shelves. This was all about a year or two before I started selling Avon by the way.  Here is a list of fragrances that I put together.
